Unsigned marriage license

Does anyone know if you are still legally married if your officiant never signed the marriage license, and it was never mailed back to the county clerk's office?

This isn't for me, so I don't need help or suggestions on what to do, I just want the facts if anyone happens to know.

You might contact the county court and ask them. They would probably be able to answer that better than we can.

NO, you would not be married if your licensed never got turned back in. It would almost be like you never had a ceremony at all.

Thanks for the reply. I realized after posting that the license is only good for a certain amount of time unsigned, so even if they had an officiant pronounce them married, it expired without the signature.
