one extra groomsman

So I am having a destination wedding on a beach & I have an older sister whom will be my maid of honor & my fiance has a younger brother that will be his best man. My fiance also has 2 children, a boy, & a girl, who are teenagers that will also be in our wedding.  I also have a younger brother & would like to incorporate him in the wedding as well.  What kind of duties can I have him be part of or do? Could he be a groomsmen even though there is no bridesmaid for him to walk down the aisle with?  What other things can he do?  We will only have about 25 to 30 guests.

If your FI wants to ask him to be a GM, there's no need to pair him up with another person just for the sake of walking down the aisle.  If your FI isn't really friends with him or doesn't want to ask him to stand up on his side there's no rule saying that you can't have him stand on your side.  He is your brother and you want to honor him so why not ask him to stand up for you?

Uneven sides are fine, as are mixed gender sides.  The usual advice on here is to have people stand up for the person they're closest to, regardless of gender.  This would mean both of FI's kids stand up for him, and your son stands up for you.

You can have him stand on either side depending on how close your FI is with him.  It probably makes the most sense to have your brother on your side and his daughter on his though (they can walk with each other down the aisle).  No one needs an escort but if you want things even, have the best man stand up with the groom while everyone else walks down.

I am getting married at the ocean Blue & Sand Resort in Punta Cana in March 2013.  We have chosen the "Sand Extravaganza Package".  I was wondering if there are any brides that have been married at that resort recently that could give me any information regarding the dinner reception?  Is it just a sit down dinner and we are done? Do I need to hire a DJ because once dinner is done, we would have a reception with music dancing, cake.etc.. in the same room?  I would really like a detailed itinerary as to the events I guess, maybe I won't get them until I arrive at the resort & meet with the wedding coordinator.  Hopefully there is a bride out there who knows!
