For all the ladies who went or are going to Punta Cana for their honeymoon, where are you/did you stay? 
What made you pick that resort?

TIA, FI and I have about 8 different resorts and we are having a hard time choosing so any advice would be greatly appreciated

    I have stayed at the Club Med in Punta Cana on a family vacation years ago.
    Pros: The food was great, lots of things to do (they have a trapeze!), and I'm pretty sure we got a great deal on it
    Cons: It's a family resort so lots of kids, I believe Club Med is based out of France because there were a TON of Europeans...not a bad thing but it means your will see a decent amount of topless women and speedo wearing men (read: old people) on the beach and by the pool

    We honeymooned at Iberostar Grand Bavaro in May.

    Pros:  Fabulously luxurious modern property, all-inclusive, adults-only, 5-star service and accommodations, beautiful beach with no annoying vendors, personal butler, good food, quiet, relaxing, romantic.

    Cons:  Low thread count linens and towels (surprising for a 5-star resort), upgraded oceanfront accommodations were a ways back from the beach and were more like oceanview through some trees (beautiful, but not "true" oceanfront).
     
    Overall rating: 4.95 of 5, highly recommend  Smile

    BTW I loved your review! I cannot stand reading reviews on tripadvisor most of the time because I feel like people just like to complain about everything!

    We just booked our Punta Cana HM. We are staying at the Hard Rock and Opted for the Rock Star experience. Anyone else looked into or been there. i'm just curious how everything works :) Rebecca
