florist too expensive?

hi! i have only met with one florist and i loved her but some people have been telling me she's too expensive and others have told me she's priced right so i was hoping i could get your opinions! i am having 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsman, my bouquet, a flower for my dad and officiant. i want masonjars going along the pews which will then be used as center pieces. i am also renting vases and candles from the florist and using garden roses and regular roses. her total including set up is $1140. do you guys think thats fair?

seems like a good enough price  ... It's hard do do much of aanything for less than 1500 or so ..
You can always see another florist before you make the final decision...but go with your gut... if you like each other everything is better

I'd post on your local board and see if they have other suggestions.

Are you in Jax?  Check the N FL board for other florist recs.

I was married in Gainesville and had 4 BM bouquets, 10 reception tables, one large garland for the gazebo, large arrangement for the cocktail hour table, 3 small arrangements for the bar and guestbook table, two large arrangements for the buffet, my bouquet, 3 coursages, and 7 boutonnières.  I had more expensive flowers than what you're using and my total was just over $1200.  My vases were also rented from my florist and she did full set up and came back for the vases the next day.

It sounds like a good deal to me. As long as she's legit, I'd say go for it!

It sounds pretty reasonable to me.  Prices vary from region to region so definitely check in with your local board.  Also, meet with two other florists in your area to see what they quote you.  My feeling is, if you love her work and are ok with the price (forgetting what anyone else may have said about the price) then go with your gut.

You won't know if that's a good price or not until you meet with other florists and have something to compare.  Also keep in mind that prices vary by region, so what might be a good price in your town may be too much -- or not enough -- elsewhere.

FYI  if you are using garden roses(the cadillac of roses) this is a terrific price. garden roses can run from $9-20 ea.
