looking for a modern wedding reception area from LA to Monterey

Hi!!

My future husband and I are looking for a contemporary/modern style wedding reception. Maybe from Los Angeles to Monterey and maybe up to Monterey area. We would prefer it to be near the beach, however we also like the wine country area. If anyone has any suggestions that would be wonderfull.

Oh by the way we also have about 200 guests.

    That seems like a LARGE area to cover.  Do you have more of an idea or ambiance.  Big Sur, Pismo Beach are some of my favorites.  Santa Barbara affords beach and wine vineyards to chose from.  I think once you narrow it down to a region, southern, central and northern Cali then suggestions can be given.
