Loreto Review

My finace and I went to the Loretto yesterday. The ceremony hall was awesome, but the rest fell really flat. The reception hall was average, but the pink and green walls were awlful. The worst part about our walk thru was the guide. He was very awkward and really cold. The place did seem very overpriced for what they offered. We have decided not to even go through them as our venue.

We are thinking really hard about the little theatre. Its really nice, requires little decor, and in the heart of the city. Only bad park is that all alcohol has to be done through aramark, which is a little expensive.

We thought the EXACT same thing about both of thos places!! The Loreto was so pretty until we walked downstairs and the guy was just plain rude!! And when we asked the little theater about about alcohol if there is anything we could do (especially after they told us we'd have to pay the same price for my 10 year old cousins as the guests that were over 21...) they laughed at us and said "good luck!" Have you checked out The Villa? It's near the plaza. We liked it a lot, it was just too small for us. They're VERY able and willing to work with you and they were really resonable for all that it came with.

We have looked at several other venues, but the one I cannot get out of my mind is the little theatre esp with working with lisa. To save money we are going to either host a signature drink, bear, and wine or we are just going to host the signature drink and have a cash bar. We are waiting for Aarmark to email back for the prices. When they do, I will sure let you know.

I've heard that about the Loretto, which is a shame since the chapel is so pretty. We visited there but found that it was a bit too expensive for us.  Our wedding was at The Villa and we just loved it.  It won't work for a really large wedding, but they were SO helpful, the food was fabulous, you get so much for your money and they really make it so you don't have much to worry about.

We looked at the Loretto as well. We were very disappointed. Our tour guide was not helpful, and seemed uninterested in giving us information. We did not like that the "large" ballroom didn't hold enough people. His solution was to set up tables in several rooms down the hall. We were not interested in putting half of our guests in rooms down the hall. We were also disappointed in the price. We felt that for what they offered (no food, white-only linens, no drinks, barely any set up) the price was outrageously high. My Fiance and I ended up choosing the Sylvester Powell Community Center in Mission, KS. The price is very reasonable and adjustable (price is by hour), and there are no restrictions on drinks, food, etc.
