I'm sitting at the dining room table this morning working. We're going to DIsney this afternoon and I have a ton of work to finish up.

He starts putting on something on the TV and tells me to come watch. I begrudgingly get up and I see it's our engagement video. I promptly walk away. I hate watching that video, and I need to get my work done.

He gets annoyed and says it's not the whole video, etc. I tell him I don't really care and I'm working. He tells me that's pretty f-ed up and then doesn't want to talk about it further.

I should have been more patient and watched it, but I think he could have chosen a better time. Not while I'm on deadline and our son is running around like a maniac.

    I really don't know how to respond.  You have an engagement video? 

    It's sweet he wanted to see it, but yeah, his timing sucked.

    Their engagement was on GMA or something...?  I remember it being a big deal (rightfully so).

    i think it's sort of hilarious that he's proud of himself for this video and needs an ego boost every so often.

    it's not exactly that f-ed up that you couldn't watch it, especially since you've seen it (and lived it), but you and your H know how it really went down.

    get him dinner with goofy or something to make up for it.

    Not a good start to a Disney day, for sure.

    I can see it from both sides.  On one hand, you probably could have spared 3 minutes to make him happy.  Maybe he's feeling extra lovey-dovey after your romantic trip?

    On the other, you've got work to do and Baby A is running around.  He could have offered to corral him in the other room so you can get your work done sooner.

    I hope you guys have fun today and this doesn't put a damper on your good time.

    Today show. MIL's BFF is a producer on the show. I went to NY with DH on business, and they set it up so he'd propose on the plaza. It was very sweet, I was totally surprised.

    But he likes watching it a lot more than I do.

    Awwwww, that's sweet.   I still would have been annoyed this morning.  I do wonder if I had you on ignore for years or what.

    Why pull it up today? Is it the engagement anniversary? Your actual wedding anniversary today? I mean, was the whole trip not enough of a mark for it?

    H is always asking me to watch stupid sht (random youtube videos - nothing particularly personal or romantic) when I am in the middle of stuff. It drives me nuts. To be fair, I'm pretty much always in the middle of something, but FFS, I AM ALWAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING . WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING USEFUL INSTEAD OF WATCHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS?! 

    Phew. OK. Sorry for that postjack.

    Also, why do you hate watching the video?
