Bill Levkoff Bridemaid Dresses

My bridemaids are thinking of ordering their dresses online.  I called some bridal salons asking if I could order a swatch in my color and they said no.  Wondering if anyone has an extra swatch - or a swatch they aren't using anymore.  I'm looking for their chiffon swatch in canary.

Thanks.

Did you try ordering a swatch card from Bill Levkoff's site? Not sure if they have one of not but i know a lot of them do.

I went to the site first.  They say to contact one of their resellers to get samples of swatches.

Where are you ordering the dresses from?  You can always just go into the store and look at the swatches.  My girls got their dresses (BL) from Gamberdellas, which is where I got my dress.  We were able to hold the fabric up to each other to make sure it didn't clash too much.  That was important because my BMs wore a diamond white color that was almost identical to my dress... PIB.

Also, Francesca's carried BL.  I got BM dress for BFF's wedding there, and they are happy to show you swatches as well if you act interested in ordering there.

I just ordered my dress for Gamberdellas!!!  They are great there.  That's acutally were I had my bridesmaides try on the dress.  I saw the swatch in the store, but I'm looking at a couple other designers too and wanted to be able to compair them side by side.  The sales person I was working with at Gamberdellas was telling me that a lot of girls come in wanting my color, but for some reason most designers don't do a light shade of yellow.

Who did you work with!?!?!  Emily and Theresa were who I worked with... Emily made the "sale" on my dress but she was fairly new at the time I think, and Theresa helped her a lot.  I love everyone there, the service is so personal and professional.  Back in the day when the store was new, my mom and her sisters got their dresses there, and Mary Gamberdella actually came to my mom's wedding to make sure her train was fluffed properly!

Ahhh that's so exciting for you!  What designer did you end up going with?  Pics??  lol.  I actually bought my dress off the rack at Gamberdella's via the trunk sale, so there was no ordering involved for me :)  I probably would have died if I had to wait for it to come in... Kudos to you!

FWIW, I considered having my girls order off netbride.com for their dresses.  We were in-between a BL dress (the one they actually wore) and a Dessy dress that was almost identical.  The problem was Gamberdella's didn't carry Dessy for the girls to try on and compare.  In the end, their girls all decided they would rather be able to try the dresses on prior to ordering rather than save money on ordering based off size charts alone.  Plus, when you order from a store like Gamberdella's, they wait to send the order in until all the girls have been measured/paid so that the dresses are all cut from the same fabric stock (aka, they will all be the EXACT same color).  Color shades can vary slightly so this was also a plus of ordering via Gamberdellas.  But then again, maybe this was just important to me because my girls wore a shade of white that needed to be very similar to mine.  I had a friend whos BMs all ordered their (Dessy) dresses off netbride and they were all fine and had no problems.

One more thing... I saw in a post that you suggested someone look at the Tremont for a wedding venue... are you getting married there!?  Because if you are we're definitely twins.  I had my reception there!  I loved every second of it... PIBs of everything :)

I ended up getting a Casablanca dress, #1955.  I LOVE IT.  It's nothing like I wanted when I went into the store, but just fell inlove with it.

I'm an event planner and have held an event at the Tremont.  It's an amazing venue, just not what my fiance and I were looking for.  But I recommend it to everyone.  The people there are great to work with and the atomosphere is so classic.

Having the dresses all the same color is super important to me.  I was actually going to order all the dresses at one time and have my bridesmaids give me money for them, just to make sure they are the same.  We did this for my sister's wedding and it worked out great.

And, we must be twins. The two designers I'm between right now are BL and Dessy.  I ordered some Dessy swatches a couple days ago and I'm hoping it's a good shade of yellow.  They have these adorable flowers that you can get to match the dresses that I was going to add to my flower girl dresses.
