2nd bride - chuppah question

I am marrying into a jewish family and while we are not having a religious ceremony, we are using a chuppah.  I was wondering if you could direct me to find a modern description to put in our ceremony programs.  Of course I found some more than a year ago, but can't seem to find them now.

TIA for your help!

Here is what we used in our program:

    The Chuppah

As the wedding ceremony begins, we will take our places beneath the chuppah (wedding canopy).  The chuppah is symbolic of the home that we are building together.  It is open on all four sides, to represent how our home will be open to all – family, friends and strangers in need.  The chuppah also symbolizes that the real importance of a home lies not in the materials used to construct it or the possessions that fill it, but the people who live within it.

THANK YOU!!  I had a little bit of that, but you put it beautifully!  Thanks again.
