FFF

We stayed up until 1:30 AM watching Breaking Bad.  I am sooooo tired.

Ready for 5:00 PM today.  We are incredibly short-staffed and I'm not able to make my patient phone calls (I do all the scheduling for our office) and patients are starting to get pissed at me. :(

Re: FFF

  • Today should actually be pretty good for me at work. Most people took today for vacation so it's going to be a quiet office, no urgent demands, and I already have scheduled lunch with my former-coworker-turned-friend-that-I-almost-never-get-to-see.

But my dog was CRAZY yesterday because we were both too tired/lazy to walk her (and both of us actually worked late, meaning she didn't even get much interaction with us at all). I resolved to do better today and give her a nice long walk tonight since we don't have any big Friday night plans anyway. But weather.com predicts scattered showers ALL DAY. I'm going to hope there's a break in the rain this evening, otherwise I predict at least one chewed-up shoe in my future tonight (her way of letting me know when she's bored/restless/frustrated with me).

Today is my day off and I have nothing to Flame really. I have a feeling all the flaming will be next week when I will be seriously understaffed.
Amy - Sorry work is sucking for you right now. I feel your pain and I have a feeling my employees are going to be pissed off at me come next week when all this goes down. I've been losing sleep again over work and that irritates me to no end.

  • Marie - Does your dog like the laser light? Our dog goes BSC even when we pull open the drawer that we keep it in. It's a godsend when it's rainy like it has been lately.

And this is bridezilla-ish, because I know we NEED the rain... but I flame the recent showers because ohmygod what if it rains on July 14??? We have a plan B, but no one ever WANTS to use their plan B!
  • This is flameworthy, but it's Friday so I'm going there:

I found out last night that my brother is getting married in a little over a month.  To a girl he met online....3 months ago.  They both have kids (her 3, my brother has 1) so some of them will have to change schools.  I've met the girl once, and she seems nice enough, but I really, REALLY hope somehow in this short amount of time that they have both really thought this through.  Getting married, putting an offer on houses, kids changing schools, etc.... all in 3 months?  That's a lot of big decisions.  And I have no room to talk on this, but its bothering me.

  • i flame the original pancake house and their computer system! i had to go run and get cash (my own fault for not having any on me) to pay for my food since the computer wasnt picking up cards. Boo!

my puppy doesn't respond to the laser light lol he just looks at me like "i know its you, so stop" this is probably horrible but it works on kids too
  • angelsong -  3 months is very quick. it doesn't seem like they are thinking things through but hopefully it all works out in the end.
  • I will hop on the "I'm tired" train.  We were out late watching the game (which was disappointing) and drank a little too much.  Then thunderstorms woke me up.  =(

But I'm off to Austin today!

  • I flame whatever is going on at work today.
It's creating a bit of buzz, but no one will tell me what's going on.

    Hmmm...

  • I flame these two cats who live with us (LOL).  They've been gone since Saturday and we brought them home last night and holy cow!  They acted liked they had never been inside our house before even though it was just new floors.  AND, Sally kept waking me up all night because she kept wanting to get petted.  I didn't get very much sleep last night either.

I'm watching "Live with Kelly" and Joel McHale is the guest and he is hilarious!!!!  And a little cute in a goofy way.
  • Random question, has anyone tried Fusion Fitness? Any reviews? I'm trying to help one of my firend's with her workout routine and this looked like something she may like.

  • I flame fever!!! I had to call off the past two days, came into work today but wish I had called off since my fever came back. Stupid stomache flu :( I haven't had a fever in years but now I know why I hated it.

OH Wow! Three months is a very short especially when 4 kids are involved. It's hard to get through all that and make it work. My FI have been together for 5 years and we had broken our engagement 2 years ago to wait and work through just all the kid drama and the ever changing dynamics with my teenage daughters and now his girls are getting to that age. I hope they take a step back and really think this through. Because blending families is really hard to get through. I'm glad FI and I waited because now we know we can handle all the darn drama.

<div>See, that was my thought -- this can't be easy to blend families.  BUT, I don't have kids, I don't the same amount of life experience or the same life experiences, etc so I really shouldn't have my judgy pants on.  Yet I do, and I feel bad about it, but at the same time I just keep thinking, "WTF ARE YOU DOING?!"</div>

  • I hate the VA!

So they finally straightened our ish out 2 months back. This week we got letters in the mail saying they overpaid us and we now owe them $1000 back. This last month's BAH stiped (living expenses) was cut in half, so I am hoping they already took it out from there. E is on his way to school to talk to the nice lady who helped us out to begin with.

And also, I am super hungry

I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

I don't think your being judgy pants just concerned. It's not easy at all. You have the relationship between the adults and the adults with the significant others kids and also the dynamics of how the kids get along with each other. That's alot of stuff going on and who even knows what the kids are thinking. When you have kids that all has to be considered and really 3 months is not nearly enough time to figure it all out.
