I think I just broke my toe

I just bent my pinky toe in a funny direction when getting down on the floor with Kieran. It hurts like hell and is turning purple. I know they don't put a cast on your little toe they just buddy tape it to the next toe, so should I bother going to the ER? If it isn't broken,I would feel really silly for going to the ER with a bruised little toe (plus it will be a PITA bringing Kieran). Even if it is broken, its not like they can do much. Has anyone ever broken their little piggy?

Thanks guys. I'll just put some ice on it. I really don't want to go the ER. That would mean I would have to put a bra on.

i've broken lots of toes. i'm a klutz. Generally they just wrap it to the next one with a piece of gauze between for padding, give you a painkiller, and tell you to ice it.

When I go out, I usually wear nursing tanks. When I am home, I let the girls go free so it is easier to nurse. I can't remember when the last time I wore a real bra was.

Student Health Services at my school was awful too. Their remedy for everything was condoms and an STD check (yep, I have a stomach virus and have been puking for days. Pretty sure it is not the clap).

I broke my arm in college on a Sunday night. They had no one to x-ray it, so they sent me home in a foam sling. They didn't x-ray and cast it until the next day.

I went to a major state university with 20,000 people, and they didn't have a freaking x-ray tech on duty over the weekend.

I broke two of my toes in January, ugh, I am feeling for you. Keep it elevated when possible, ice, and pain meds. I wear heels everyday for work and it was two weeks before I could get those puppies back in dress shoes.

As for the bra, comes off as soon as I enter the house, must admit, I am jealous that you can't remember the last time you wore a real bra! You go girl!

I broke my big toe playing soccer a few years ago. I went to the ER and they didn't do shiit. My toe was nasty. If I were you I would do what PP's suggested. Sorry, broken toes hurt!

I've never broken my pinky toe but I've broken the one next to it....three times, and all three times were on vacation. Lucky me. You're right, they wouldn't do anything. Just wear comfy shoes and ice it.
