HELP!!!

Ok, so I am getting married in May 2012.....When FI and I first got engaged, a friend of mine was all over it, and going on and on about how she was gonna have a shower for me, and asking me when would be a good time, and even made me give her a date of when I thought would be a good day for us to do it.... that date was March 17th or 18th.....whichever is a sunday, sorry I dont have a calander with me..... anyway, she hasnt said anything since then and it has been about 5 months, and is now less than 2 months away..... So, my question is, should I mention it to her?? I mean I dont want to feel like Im asking her to give me a shower, and I dont want her to feel obligated to, if she has since changed her mind..... HELP!!!

    Is it possible she is trying to surprise you in some way?  I know that sounds odd since you said she asked you for a date, but maybe?  Beyond that I think you could just ask her is you still need to save that date, along the lines of "Friend, you ask me to hold March 17/18.  Do you still have plans for me that day?" If she says yes, you could ask if she needs any information from you likes a guest list or addresses.  If she says no, it's not completely unexpected and you'll at least know for certain in case someone else offers to host.

    Just say "is there still a shower planned for March 18?" If she says no, then you're kind of out of luck unless someone else wants to host a shower. I doubt she's planning a surprise shower.
