Yay
I am back. Got back from the honeymoon on the 8th of August and been avoiding doing anything to do with aftermath of wedding hehe. Been relaxing a lot, but now I have to get back to doing wedding stuff. Been working on video worksheet since yesterday and filling in the songs for our wedding video.
So here is how the wedding went- Lots of gf's came wednesday-week of the wedding. I already felt a bit a ease having them there.Friday morning two of my bridesmaids voluntered to go pick up Hubby, that helped a lot so he didnt have to drive down 1.5 hrs to my parents house. He came over in the morning, I have never been so happy to see his face

. My mother and lots of aunties and stuff did a mayan and other rituals for him so he felt like he was getting married too (besides I think he loved the attention)

. It was great seeing him get this done since his mother had totally left it out of the picture. His parents were still fighting with him friday night so I told him to put away his phone and ignore it. They apparently had landed friday and had time to bitch at him. So anyways he was in a happy mood regardless. He stayed in hotel room over night friday. I basically didnt get any sleep friday as planned, wedding jitters and few guests ( close fam) were still wanting to talk and give gifts..i know crazy I got into bed by 1am but just closed my eyes till 3:30. My makeup lady arrived right on time, I am so impressed by her she was there right on dot at 4am. I was ready by 6am. My bff sat me down in a corner and told me not to move, she did all the cleaning in the room and moved all my suitcases for reception and honeymoon. I felt so lucky having such great friends. The video and photographer arrived at 7am..and all the bridesmaids had arrived including my groom to take pictures.
In Law Drama-We left for the ceremony right on time at 8am, we were suppose to arrive at ceremony site at 9am and breakfast was at 9:30. But little did I know the inlaws will throw it all off. The Dholi did a good job covering up their late show act. He kept the crowd pumped and doing bhangra. The in-laws showed up last (1.5 hrs late) and threw off the morning schedule, I was so nauseated at this point I told my bridesmaids I didnt care to see their (inlaws) faces. We finally did our garland ceremony, breakfast followed. The priest had to hurry the ceremony to make the lunch time. This made the breakfast and lunch too close but we had no choice.Somehow we left on time from the ceremony site (at 2) to head to philadelphia, perhaps it was my pushing it.
My inlaws showed atttitude after and during ceremony, his father walked right by us after our ceremony was done (so rude)
Reception- We ran a little late to make it to our reception, but my makeup lady really did her job well even with the time I alloted her. I cant thank her enough for getting me ready and putting all the necessary things in place. I didnt even have that much time to look in the mirror to see how the outfit fit. LOL. I had to rush to make picture time at the reception. When me and Hubby arrived at the reception his parents acted like they were so happy cause they had seen how rich the reception looked and thought wow these ppl are after all well off ( I hate to say but his parents are money minded so I never flashed anything to them, who the hell cares) I was very cordial to his fam including his bro who didnt say hi to me or Hubby all night, I think am done with their drama and want nothing to do with them. I will be nice and polite if they call but I have no room for ppl who are so narrow and money minded. I am thankful to my friends and fam and god for making this wedding a great occassion and all I have to say it went by toooo fast. Professional pictures wont be out till mid september. I will def. share them when I get them then..ooo wow long post!
