    We chose to go to Secrets Maroma and LOVED it!  Really though, I don't think you can go wrong :)  We chose Secrets because the flight time was shorter and it was less expensive, and the beach is amazing :)

    We're going to Secrets in 2 months, so obviously that's my vote. I haven't heard one bad thing about them.

    We HM'd at Secrets Maroma last May and I can't say enough about it. Seriously, its paradise. They treat you like royalty, food is awesome, property is beautiful, beach is AMAZING. Although I have never been to a Sandals resort, I hear that they tend to be more comercialized and, as the poster above said, I believe you will get much more bang for your buck at Secrets. Good luck :)

    Id go with Secrets. We are actually heavily considering having our honeymoon there. Its between secrets maroma or sun palace:)

    Lol; we originally had decided on Sandala St Lucia but then realized that we couldn't get a direct flight and we'd need an overnight, so we ended up going to Maroma and loved it!!

    We've been to Secrets (in Domican Republic) and Sandals La Toc.  (We went to Playa Del Carmen with friends during the World Cup.)

    You definitely get more bang for your buck at Secrets hotel wise, but St. Lucia is much nicer than Mexico.  It isn't as "built up" and offers a lot more outdoorsy/adventurous activities.  Mexico has a lot to offer as well but it is much more touristy.  However, I think Secrets resorts are a bit nicer and aren't nearly as branded as Sandals.  Sandals resorts are really nice too though, especially if you do a butler suite.

    My Fiance and I went to Sandals Grande St Lucia a couple of years ago and LOVED it.  The island itself is beautiful.  A boat tour to the Pitons was a highlight to our trip. Sandals had great food and wonderful service. I actually got my best friend so excited about it that she went there on her honeymoon last year.
