you should head over to The Bump.  Omg, I felt that during the wedding planning there were so many "Emily Post Wanna-Be's" saying what one should and shouldn't do, what's wrong, what's tacky (unless someone asks "Is This Tacky?").  They are at war on my Month Birth Board regarding who should and shouldn't host a shower. I guess whether you're a bride or an expectant mother...It Never Ends! I CAN'T!!!

    WAIT... so ppl really CARE who hosts the BABY SHOWER?! Are you kidding me?! Are you also not supposed to include where you're registered in the invitation? UGH!

    Girl!!! It all started when one person posted that it is tacky for the mother of the expectant mother (grandmother) or any close family member for that matter, to host your baby shower.  Then it drifted to: it shouldn't be at your house, brides and pregnant women are the most selfish ppl, etc.

    This one chic said that it was tacky of her friend to host a 30th Birthday Party for herself.  That's where Summerbride had to chime in.  What? I know plenty of ppl who have a 30th, 40th, 21st (whatever) party for themselves. It's not about the gifts, it's about gathering together for a good time, food, drinks, etc.

    women can be so petty....funny that usually the ones who obsessed over etiquette break the biggest rule, which is to be a lady and be polite and don't judge because you never know someones situation...

    btw...when I turn 30...next year...I am throwing myself a party lol (who cares)...

    WOW!! I just read some of the posting, these women really have nothing to do but be hurtful to others. Just like JloveB I am turning 35 and FI turning 45 this May and we will be throwing ourselves a bday BASH!!!

    That was too funny!  Who has time to do all that. I have better things to do with my day.  But it definitely was a good laugh.  Now I know what I have to look forward to.

    @ Jess- I hear that- I'm all for a Birthday Bash-never once considered it tacky!

    @wallace- I was thinking the same thing (Who has the time for all this?)  Then I thought: I'm the idiot reading all this, lol.     I just figured on The Bump since everyone is carrying a baby in their belly they would want Peace.

    I read that thread... WHOA!!! lol. I'm a stickler for grammar, spelling, punctuation, blah blah, but they took it to another level! Like... I really only care when it's relevant... TK, TN, and TB are NOT relevant! lol. They are something else!

    These women are toooo petty and have nothing better to do than sit in front of a screen and inject their own brand of negativity, aren't you suppose to be like HAPPY during this time in your life. I cannot stand when women tear each other down or try to.
    They wouldn't like me very much, shooot I throw myself a party because it's a day that ends in "Y",  or for any other reason for that matter! All this etiquette crap gets on my nerves, who made the rules, "they"? I have never figured out who "they" are so "they" can kiss my patootie, rofl!
