  Wow that's surprising.  That is such a cool venue--I considered it myself.  Too bad it didn't work.

  The 411 is that the building is going into foreclosure. I'm helping a March bride find a new reception venue, and it looks like everything will turn out just fine. If anyone has a suggestion of a location that has a similar apppeal : downtown area, great view, not a ballroom look, I'd love suggestions.

  The Dallas City Club--it's in that building with the green neon trim. Amazing view--I think it is on the 87th floor. I went to a gorgeous wedding there

  Lynn - What about the Stoneleigh or Old Red Museum.  I looked at those places. They were very nice.
  
  I'm having my reception at Winfrey Point so that is the view of the city across White Rock. That might work too.

  The Old Red is great--it just books up really quickly! We booked our June 2010 wedding there in Feb. of 2009. We had to make the decision asap because all of June was booked up by then! I think Winfrey Point is the same way

  You guys mentioned Winfrey Point... and I have an appointment to go meet them next week so I'm pretty interested to see what it looks like.
  
  Do any of you guys know if the rental includes tables and chairs?

  I know it comes with some tables but I can't remember about chairs since we are renting some nice ones.
