STD--Addressing couples and/or plus 1?

Hi guys! Trying to figure out the best etiquette for addressing save the dates. I have a couple of guests on my list that have significant others of a few months or less. I plan to address guests and any s.o. on the actual invites when they go out. However the wedding is more than half a year away--things can happen and who knows if they'll be together months down the road. So my question is: do I address both of them on the save the dates? Or just wait until I send out the invites? Thanks!

    When I sent my STD's, if they were a couple, they were addressed together.  Keep in mind that the STD is pretty informal, so no need to worry if they do happen to split later down the road.  It's the actual invitation that should be addressed properly, depending on what their current relationship status is at the time of mailing them of course.

    As you say, a lot can happen before the invitations go out.  STDs are just an announcement that you are getting married on a certain date, and an invitation will follow.  Just address it to the person, without including a guest, so you have flexibility in your list when it's time to send invitations.

    I would probably address STDs to the couple (with both names) even if they haven't been together a long time. But for truly single guests, I would not address the STD "and guest." That way, if you have to restrict +ones later on due to space or budget, you have the flexibility to do so.
