Dress Alterations Pricing?

Hi everyone! I just bought a sample dress (Watters' Tuscany), which I am really excited about! What I am less excited about, however, is figuring out alterations. I just moved to the westside of Los Angeles from the midwest, and I have no idea what I should budget or where I should go.

So, I have two questions that I am hoping that you can help me out with.

1. How much did you pay for your alterations?
2. Where did you go?

I could go back to the place where I bought the dress, but it is easily an hour drive -- and I heard that their alterations are somewhat overpriced. Alterations that I anticipate needing are the following: bustle (probably a French bustle), a few repairs in the lace/tulle overlay, and taking in the dress a bit in the waist/hips.

Thanks so much everyone!

Call In Stitches with Reene. (And yes, it's Reene, not Renee). She's in woodland hills, and is totally worth the drive if you're kinda far away. her number is 818-222-4434.
I'm paying $190 for a bustle, sleeves, new cups, 6 buttons put on the back of my dress. She can also arrange to have your dress steamed/pressed.

I'm paying roughly 600-700 for alterations. But that also includes adding more stonework. I'm going through the shop where I bought my gown (Brides by Liza in Bev Hills).

But I've seen Reene recommended a LOT on here, so I'm sure she's definitely someone to look into.

    Good luck!

Bunnees- I also live in West LA and used Reene. She has evening and Saturday hours so it worked out fine for me. She was totally worth the drive and did a great job. I needed a little taken in, some hem work, a bustle, and she put in a bra. She also had my dress steamed/pressed and I think it was $200 something.
Traffic on the 101 going north can be a pain, but it's really worth it. =)

RoMy215: Thanks! I might have to go with Reene then. (And suck it up for the 405/101 journey.)
