CHUY's!!!!

The first GTG will be held at Chuys on Barton Springs Road!!!

I am thinking Happy Hour on a Friday, Aug 20th, 2010. This gives everyone time to plan to be there (because it is a month away) and for the out of town brides to make arrangements.

Who will be there? Do I need to adjust the day?? Say about 5:30 or 6? or later?

    I would say later because people won't get off work until five and with traffic it could take people up to an hour to get there from work. Do you live in Austin MOD, you pic thing says Houston? Are you coming intown just for that? Just curious!

    Yes it will need to be much later. I am 30 min from there with no traffic and do not get off work until 5.

    Not sure if I will be able to make it that weekend that is the weekend before school starts back and my fall U10 girls soccer league that I coach has a meeting that day. Very sorry hope to make the next one.

    I live in Houston because I am getting a degree from the University of Houston. My FI lives in San Antonio, so I commute on the weekends back there. Our wedding is in New Braunfels, so most of our vendors are coming out of Austin. Ill be in San Antonio that week, so Austin is just a short trip up the road.

    Okay-- so is 7 a better time?

    BBNT- That's cool! My FI went to UTI there in Houston to be a Diesel Technician so I would drive form here to Houston 2-3 times a month for about a year and a half. Horrible drive!

    Great is it 7pm? or 5:30?
    My MOH will be coming to town and is supposed to leave houston around 1... but we'll see about that lol. I still dont know if iI will need to leave work early or not but avoiding rush hour from all the way out here at Lake Travis would be great!
    Either way she will be coming with me so we can get some shopping done before heading home for a night of baking trial cupcakes for the wedding!
    So excited to get to meet everyone!

    Have you made special arrangements with Chuys? On a Friday night at 7pm, you could be waiting forever to get a table or even get space in the bar area. The last time we tried to plan a GTG there for someone's birthday, we were told they'd love to have us, but don't take reservations. Just thought I'd ask, I'd hate for everyone to show up and there be no where to GTG.

    Oh no.. I have not. I am not from the Austin Area, so I have no idea what the place is like. Do they take reservations?
