Dance Floors and a question...

Am I just crazy???  I hate going to venues that are gorgeous and the dance floor is tiny, in a corner or has obstructions.

I went to the Andover Country Club tonight for their show and got to see the "Grand Ballroom".  A friend of mine got married there a few years ago in the Larger room that they say can hold 300+.  She had between 150-170 and it was cramped.  The poles were in the way of things and the dance floor was in the corner.

So my question is if you had a wedding there or have been to a wedding there that had over 200 guests did this bother you?  I just don't see it working seating and dancing wise.

My cousin was married at the Andover Country club in August and the location of the dance floor is AWFUL! You couldn't see them do their first dance when they were announced if you were sitting by the windows and the acoustics were crappy too (may have just been the DJ though) I didn't see anything "grand" about it to be honest. Room was very "blah" and ordinary. The Pillars around the dance floor were also a distraction.

Have you considered or looked into Cafe Escadrille in Burlington?? Their facility is awesome and the room is one open space so you can create the dance floor to how you want it set up. (this is where we are having our wedding)

    Good luck!!! :)

I've been to two weddings there. I agree that the dance floor situation is awful! I also hated where the head table was...way in the back.  However, I'm sure that's something that could easily be changes. I also think their food is terrible. We are getting married at Cafe Escadrille too and we are very happy with everything so far!
