Flower girl basket alternatives

For the life of me I cannot find a flower girl basket I like (tried etsy and everywhere else). I was wondering if you have any ideas of other things for her to carry, I don't really care whether she has something to throw or not...

How about making some paper cones out of scrapbook paper and a pretty ribbon?

My wedding is at a loft-style space above a restaurant in Tacoma, WA. I don't really have a theme, but it will be very modern in style, my colors are black and white with some splashes of purple.

  • My flower girls carried little nosegays.

  • FG had a pomander of cream roses.  Beautiful!
  • I don't like flower girl baskets, either.  So I just found a small basket that I liked at Salvation Army and spray painted it.
  • You could always have her carry one long steam flower to match the girls bouquets.

  • Never saw this before, and it looked really cute.  Flower girl carried an american girl dressed as a bride

  • Our FGs are carrying a banner that says "Uncle Adam, here comes your girl!"

  • One of the florists I talked to (didn't go with her), suggested that depending on the age she makes these little floral "wands" that she said the flower girls are always super cute with :)

I'm having our flower girl carry one of FI's cowboy hats, filled with flower petals.  It fits us and our rustic reception theme, but probably not so much your modern loft theme.  Just thought I'd share though :-)

    Got the idea from pinterest:
  • Dropping flower petals is a no-no at our church so my FGs are carrying these instead

  • Well, we are having an outdoor beach wedding, so my RB is carrying a stick with fishing line attatched with the rings (fake) and the FG is carrying a fishing net.
