tappan hill brides or past guests pls come in

I am considering booking this venue for my wedding. My concern is that there is a possibility of 2 events occuring at the same time, did you have contact with the other wedding? was it obvious that there was another wedding going on at the same time?

Any other issues you had with the venue?

I've never been there. But MANY halls (especially those with 2 ballrooms!) host more than one event at a time.

Questions you should ask - will they host another event at the same time as your wedding. (As if they will host another event, not another wedding. Because some places will only host "one wedding at a time" but you find out the week (or the day) of your wedding that a Sweet 16 / Quincenera / Bar/ Bat Mitzvah is also going on. You can't get upset if you only asked if another "wedding" would be held.)

So ask if another event could also be going on.

Ask where the two ballrooms guests - enter, get their place cards, have cocktail hour and use the bathroom. Just so you know how the events flow.

Ask how many guests bathrooms they have - two for the two ballrooms or one that's shared.

A professional catering hall has hosted more than one event at a time. And if they are still in business, they have done so successfully. But since you are the bride, I totally understand why you might be concerned.

Which is why the final (and in my opinion, they most important) question. If they host more than one event at a time, what is the spacing of the event like?

If you want 6-7 cocktail hour and 7 - 11 reception. When would the other events cocktail hour start? 5? 5:30 7?  are very different than a 4:00 or 7:30 cocktail hour start time.

Again, if they have completely separate areas, it may not be so bad. But that would be the one thing that you need to be happy with. Not to mention the overall venue in general!

    HTH! GL!
