We used Formally Modern. They have locations in Chicago, Orland Park, Schaumburg, Aurora. DH and I went initially to the location in Orland Park and they were very helpful and friendly. Not sure about fedoras.  I've seen them for relatively cheap at Target/JC Penny.

We used Mens Warehouse and had absolutely no problems! A friend used Jos. A. Bank and had a ton of problems with tux sizes - but after exchanging and a few stressful days, they ended up looking really nice

we are using Black Tie...they are great. they have locations all over chicagoland. we are using the one in Schaumburg.  My brother recently stood up in a wedding and they also used Black Tie and I thought the tux looked great I am happy we are using them.  If you get on their list of promotions they will call and offer you special and we finally got one we could not pass up.  We got $60 off each tux and FI tux is fee.  The first offer they gave us was $40 off each tux that was not so bad but we like the $60 off better.  their most expensive tux it $129 that includes everything.  take a look stop in at one.  hope this helps.

We used Black Tie Formalwear and had a wonderful experience. Our 15 guys got fitted from all over the country, picked up/dropped off at three of their locations, everyone looked fabulous and we had no issues whatsoever. See my bio vendor reviews for more info - I also touch on our brief experience with Men's Warehouse and the significant cost savings we got at BTF.

Great, ladies! I went into Men's Wearhouse yesterday and was quoted at $169 a tux. I'm going to give Modern and Black Tie a try. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the suggestion on Black Tie.  My fiancee tried going to Men's Wearhouse & we walked out less than five minutes later.  They wouldn't let him try on different tuxes to see what style might look best on him.  We were told they'd measure him, & he could choose something, which would be shipped to us two days before the wedding.  If he didn't like the way it looked, they'd be able to ship another one out the day before the wedding...talk about stressing a bride out!  They claim that's how "everyone" works with regards to tuxes, but that doesn't make sense to me.  Most men don't wear tuxes often enough to know what looks good on them just by looking in a catalog.

Here's hoping Black Tie is a little better.

Black Tie Formalwear is awsome. A friend of mine refereed me after her wedding. The referal saved us $50 a rental.
