Hotel + hair in Red Hook area

I am getting married on a cruise ship leaving from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. I am wondering if anyone can recommend both a hotel and hair salon near there. In a perfect world I'd love to be able to walk to the salon from the hotel and then take a car from there to the cruise ship.

    The Brooklyn Motor Inn is right on Hamilton Avenue, but I have to be honest, it used to be a pretty seedy motel.

    I would definitely explore other hotels such as the Bklyn Marriotto, Holiday Inn Express, and they're opening a Sheraton in Brooklyn that you may want to look into!

    I know this great girl in Brooklyn who travels to you the day of your wedding.  She's doing my hair as well as my moms and sister, for my wedding. And my sisiters wedding next spring.  She has an ad on this site. You should check her out, her name is  Eve Whittington
