Hair/Makeup referrals in Milwaukee...

Does anyone have suggestions for salons (or people!) that are reasonably priced in the downtown/eastside/southside parts of Milwaukee? I have 8 girls standing up in my wedding and I feel bad asking them pay an arm and a leg to get their hair and makeup done.

    I'm getting married downtown.  Some of the places I've looked at:

    The Knick - they were not very helpful in pricing.  I asked what it would cost for my hair and they could only give me a ROUGH estimate.  I asked what it would cost for my girls and they said it depends on length of hair, style and how long it takes to do their hair. 

    Beauty (on Farewell)
    Salone (on Ogden)
    GLOW - I think I'm going with this salon.  They were very nice and super helpful.  I'm going for highlights on Saturday and if the girls does a good job, I will book with them.  I was told no more than $60 for bridesmaids updos, if it's something simpler or shorter hair, it'll be less.  I was told no more than $85 for my bridal updo.  I plan on about $550 with tax for 8 of us.  They also provide free mimosas and bagels. :)

    Honestly I would call the Vici Beauty School at Bayshore.  They should be cheaper and I've never had a problem getting a nice updo/hairstyle from a beauty school.

    I wouldn't go anywhere but to BLovely.  They'll come on location and they do airbrush makeup.  They're pretty reasonable too. :)

    I am going with hair fiddlers, they are located near miller park - not sure but they might even come do it at your location, altho i am just going to the salon.
