HELP with a TRUSTABLE BRIDAL SALON in NJ.......

Does anyone know of a bridal salon that is not going out of business and is trustable.
I am a bit scared because my sister just got burned by Enzo bridal that just closed down in South Jersey, and my cousin never got her dress at Calvary bridal in Millburn. They are still there and changed their name. Any suggestions?? Anything I can avoid incase the salon I go to closes??

Castle Couture in Marlboro, NJ is an unbelievable bridal salon.  This is where I got my dress.  Park Avenue Bridals in Verona, NJ has mostly all designers up to the Alvina Valenta level and has been around for 20 years, so very dependable.  What area are you in? I can probably suggest others as well.

I bought mine at Park Avenue Bridal in Verona and I was very pleased.

Read your contract carefully before you sign it.

I agree with PP about Park Avenue Bridal in Verona. They have been great to work with.

I also agree with Park Ave in Verona.  They have been around for so long and have a good reputation! Very happy having ordered my gown and the bridesmaids there.

I must be in the minority.  I went to Park Ave and HATED it.  I thought the women who worked there were very unhelpful and I thought their selection of gowns was blah, for lack of a better word.

I highly recommend Russells- they have been wonderful to me.  I did Macys, Hollywood, Mademoiselle, Davids, Kleinfelds... The worst was Kleinfelds!! The best was Pronovias NYC- but Russells ordered my Pronovias for a lot less..

After finding my dress at Enzo, I ordered my dress at Russells b/c I had heard about all the bad reviews and saw they got an F rating on the BBB.  Russells was amazing!

I recommend Jefre Bridal in Greenbrook. I had an amazing experience there. The selection was a bit small but all of the dresses I tried on looked great!! I went to David's Bridal in East brunswick and hated it. The service was horrible and the dresses was horrible quality. Nothing looked good on me.

I loved my experience at the East Brunswick David's Bridal. For whatever reason, it was a slow day for them, the girl was super-accomodating, and I ordered my dress then and there.

To be fair, I am not getting it altered there, so I can't review that.

I was not thrilled with Park Ave, but it might have been my price point.

I am using Arlene's Bridal in Bloomifleld, right on Bloomfield Ave so not far from you at all. They seem lovely so far, and it's been there forever.

I got my dress from Bijou Bridal in Paramus and highly recommend it.  I also really liked Arlene's in Bloomfield.

I know four girls that have gotten their dresses at Dolores Bridal in Edison (right in front of the Menlo Park Mall on Route 1).  They all had an amazing experience there and  I will be making my appointment there soon.  I will however try Kleinfelds -- just for the experience :).

    Hope that helps.

Calvary went out of business. The Millburn store is Exquisite Bride that has another location in Millburn but they have nothing to do with Calvary at all I am 100% positive.

Calvary was awfull I heard. Exquisite Bride actually is helping some Enzo brides get the dresses in.

I just feel bad because I know they are nice..sorry you had a bad experience.

I went into Dolores Bridal last week with one of my BMs and she and I pretty much walked out again. It was dark, cramped, and we were pretty much ignored. Now, we were simply looking for BM dresses - no intention of buying that day - but we could barely squeeze between the racks to see the samples - and we're both rather squeezable.

    So, fair warning.

First, I think it is weird that you are so persistent that Calvary and Exquisite Bride are the same.  Care to provide any evidence?

And second, I think it is really tough to predict how these things are going to turn out.  Calvary Bridal House and Enzo and Celebrations Studio and Mario Michele were all great and recommended by brides who had great experiences and were highly rated ... until they weren't.  I know that Celebrations and Calvary had both been in business for over 10 years.  It is a shame that when these places go out of business the customers get screwed, but it is just kind of how things go and I don't think you can predict who is next.
