Shell Island or Blockade Runner? (Wilmington, NC)

I'm looking into both of these hotels to host our reception. Does anyone know about pricing and what they have to offer? I've stayed at both of these places before but haven't yet inquired about weddings. Your help is greatly appreciated!

    When are you getting married? Shell Island is still closed I'm pretty sure (I live here and we walked by it yesterday on the beach and it was closed). I greatly prefer blockade runner...they have much nicer amenities and the food was better :) I'm not sure how they compare as far as pricing goes though. I've seen weddings at both and they were both pretty!

    For what its worth, I went to a wedding at Blockade Runner and it was a gorgeous wedding, and the food was great :)
