    Congrats on your engagement! I strongly suggest you remove this post ASAP. Asking for help winning a contest is not well-received at all on these boards. A lot of people will actually vote for another contestant, other than the poster. You should ask your family and friends for help with this contest, not a bunch of random strangers on the Internet.

    well i know thats what my competition did which is why I am trying. But the post can't be deleted... I just can only hope that other bride to be's will be respectful and help and bride in need... I would.

    lol nope. It's disrespectful for you to assume that everyone here will help you win a contest when they're already paying for their weddings themselves. Pay for your own damn flowers.

    See, we have these magical things called jobs that make it so we don't have to ask strangers to pay for our lives. We also have this thing called maturity that helps us realize that if we can't afford something, then we need to find another option instead of begging. Can't afford the flowers you want? Find a cheaper alternative for flowers. It's easy.

    I mean... that's not too difficult to understand, is it?

    I know that any one of us would love to have "help" in paying for our weddings.  I have no problem with brides entering contests to win something to help in their wedding.  What I, and most knotties, don't like is people coming in and begging us to help them win.  If the companies just had a freaking drawing for the lucky bride that would solve all these posts. 

    Sorry, just a little annoyed with this because this morning a local news station was showcasing a local couple who needed votes to win a dream wedding on a float during the Rose Bowl parade.

    Ugh. That wouldn't be a dream wedding to me. All commercialized and made into a spectacle. But to each their own I guess.

    So... I couldn't afford flowers for my wedding.  You know what I did?  I bought silks instead and cut my costs by 90%.

    You know what I didn't do?  Solicit and harrass strangers to help foot the bill for things I couldn't afford.
