Too expensive red shoes--help!

I LOVE these Rachel Simpson shoes, but I'm not sure I can justify spending $235 on them. Has anyone seen any similar style/color shoes that are more reasonably priced? Thank you!

That's a very similar style to what ballroom, tap, and other dancers wear. I looked for red dancing shoes online for you for a few minutes, and didn't find anything quite close, but that's the direction I'd look.

I can find tons of shoes with very similar style, just not red...A lot of them seem to be brown...

I looked for about ten minutes and purple and lacey was the closest I could get.

Have mercy! I could justify spending $235 on those shoes in a New York minute. What do you think is a reasonable price for terrific looking, comfortable shoes? Everyone has their price. Once you find yours, figure out how many times you'd need to wear those shoes to "justify" buying them. Then, promise yourself you'll wear them X times within a year of the wedding. I did with mine. Hee hee!

I'm going to be no help in finding ones more reasonably priced. But here's another idea on how to "justify" buying them:

1. Do not buy wedding favors for your guests. The reception is more than enough of a gift.
2. Pare down on stationery you're planning to buy. Do you really need programs? menu cards? RSVP cards? matching TY notes?
3. Get rid of those "welcome" bags. Your guests' hotel has everything they need.

Have I saved you $235 yet? You get the point ... it's all about the shoes! Go for it!!

I just found her website and am obsessed with Rachel Simpson shoes. The Duchess ones are my current favorites. I can see both sides of the money issue. On one hand, these are really well-made and you'll probably be able to keep them on all night and continue to wear them and they'll be comfortable. Plus, for me, those would be something I would wear again. So, I could justify that. However, I'm also a big believer in good shoes after years of wearing really cheap ones that cut up my feet. This is a day where you will be standing a lot, I think about how tired my feet were after trying on dresses for a day and I know good shoes are a must for me. I'm also a massive shopping enabler, so take that as you will.

But, there are some people, and this isn't a bad thing, that would never, no matter how much money they saved on anything else, be able to justify spending the money on the shoes they really love just because they love them. My friend who got married had a pair that was about the same price that she loved, but, even though her mom offered them to her, she just couldn't pull the trigger. She ended up with something cute that she loved, though.

Also, I'm with PP that I would look at shoes for professional dancers to find something similar.

You can always try looking on Amazon. The style of those shoes remind me of Mary Jane's. I found a pair that are pretty cute from Amazon to give you an idea as to what you can find there.
