I have scheduled about 7 appts just waiting to confirm the last one for Dec for the fiancee & I to see within a 2 week period lol well be busy ... One place I really liked online was the Sheraton and I just found out mom has been there for a wedding and said it was beautiful. I'm hoping it doesn't let me down.

I was hoping and wondering if you ladies could recommend other venues (hotels on the beach) to look at I'm in Ft Lauderdale btw?

    The Westin Beach Resort was pretty. Are you only interested in staying in Ft. lauderdale? What is your budget because places like the W, Ritz and Marriott Harbor Beach are fabulous but super expensive

    The Pier 66 hotel (is that the Sheridan??) with the spinning roof top is nice - I went to an event their years ago. I have heard some negative things about their event coordinators recently though. what about sunny isles? I used to work for the city and it is just so pretty there

    I thought the W hotel was super fun (funky!) and they have a beautiful roof top if you're going for an outside overlooking the ocean. We also looked at the Ritz in Ft Laud which was Ah-Mazing but ridicoulously priced.

    We ended up at the Boca Raton Resort and I'm sooooo excited!

    We're getting married at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort ... depending on the size of your wedding the Pelican has the most AMAZING views we have seen on Fort Lauderdale.  They have a rooftop that is absolutely to die for that overlooks A1A and the beach.  We are actually having the ceremony up there.  They also have a private beach which is really nice and quiet.  We looked at EVERY hotel on A1A in Fort Lauderdale and the other nice ones were the Marriot Harbor Beach and the Bahia Mar.  The Bahia Mar is a little different.  It's on the intracoastal and has gorgeous views but the only down fall is that they couldn't guarentee that a yacht wouldn't be docked right next to where the wedding would be

    interestingly enough they were first I set up an appt with too and sent me a package ... it looks really pretty and I'm so excited to finally be venue shopping.

    I honetsty prefer to stay in Ft Lauderdale, Miami seems to hate me ... I had a horrible driving experience in South Beach 3 weeks ago it was beyond my control but I will not drive there by myself ever again ... I told my FI we would look at places there and I put in several requests for more info to make appts at the very least, the W responded and holy mother those prices were to expensive our budget is  not big enough, we have an appt with The Palms looks abosultely gorgouse but again the driving is bumming me out so well see.

    the lady who I'm meeting for Sheraton actually handles the Westin resort too so I'm hoping we check that one out. I looked at the Bahia Mar I actually had my homecoming dance in high school there and we have appt with the Diplomat where Prom was ... it cracks me up to think of that ... I would marrying my FI right where we had our Senior Prom lmao

    Hey! I'm getting married at the Westin (are you working with Tammy?) I absolutely love the hotel. They have a great sky terrace (which we decided not to use to save some $) but Tammy said we could absolutely take pics there and capture the awesome view of both the beach and the intercoastal. Since we have a lot of OOT guests, the hotel and its ammentities were really important to me, which the Westin totally delivers on! I also like that its on the more northern part of the beach so its quieter, but still close to all the shops/restaurants/bars and a quick cab ride from las olas. excited to hear where you pick! GL :)

    I spoke to Tammy through email and set up the appt ... she kind of confused me ... stating she was free the week of the 19th so I decided to make appt 23rd I'm off of work that day and we have another appt earlier than she tells me that she's out that week but Rachel will be able to help me. OH well were meeting at the Sheraton but I know her emails Westin, it looks beautiful online and FI's mother knows another couple who got married there and loved it, plus there within our budget always a good thing lol
