Jewel Box!

I just booked the Jewel Box for my ceremony on October 22, 2011!  I am super excited, but a little nervous about the time limit.  Just wondering if anyone has had a wedding there or been to a wedding there and has any advice?  Thank you!

    my wedding is there in 8 days.  i was a little worried about it, but my ceremony is only going to be 25 minutes and things seem as if they will work out fine.

    Congrats!  I would love to hear how it goes!  I was just worried about the music set up and then the receiving line.  We wanted to get people out quickly so we could take a few pics inside before our time was up!  Congrats again!!

    I have a friend who just got married there in March. It was beautiful, but they decided to save their receiving line for the reception so they had enough time to take pictures in the Jewel Box after the ceremony. It was a little awkward because at the end of the ceremony, the couple walked to the back/dressing area and the officiant made an announcement about the delayed receiving line. As people started to get up and leave, the bride and groom walked back in for pictures and then people wanted to talk to them while they just wanted to take their pictures. I think it's good if you have a clear timeline in mind and make people aware of it.

    The Jewel Box is where i want to have my October 13th 2012 wedding ceremony. Im curious about the music set up and other details. Please share!

    Do something for decor...inside the Jewel Box is kind of lacking, but the outside and the grounds are beautiful!

    I will be a Jewel Box Bride on July 16 2011!! I am not too worried about the time limit.. I just need to figure out the music situation...I dont want to pay someone alot of money for 45 minutes....Maybe Ill buy a Ihome or Bose

    I agree with Vick, my sister got married there 3 years ago and it was gorgeous:) Since you have such a limited time slot I would wait for the receiving line until the reception and have the pastor announce this as well. (This is what my sister did and it worked out perfectly). Also, my sister used a radio to play her songs as she walked down the aisle.

    Our wedding was at the Jewel Box. It was beautiful. Our florist decorated a brass arch which we were married under.  We had floral arrangements on pedestals at the entrance of the aisle, and decorated the aisle chairs with small arrangements hanging off the side of the back of the chairs.  We also had an aisle runner.  Such a beautiful place with all the greenery.  I don't think you need much.  We had a quartet as well as a guitarist and singers.  The accoustics are amazing.  That being said, I'd be careful about using any pre-recorded music.  I think you'll be able to hear/notice that it;s recorded music.  My opinion is that it's a little abrupt to "press play" and stop the recording.  Also, we were able to be married at the opposite end as most couples (we wouldn't accept "no" as an answer).  We were married at the "brick wall" inside and when the ceremony was over, we walk straight out the doors and had our receiving line just beyond the ponds.  I agree with a pp, I thought it would be odd to get married at the other end and head straight back to the dressing rooms vs. out the door.  Also we had time for pictures inside before the ceremony.

    How far in advance did you ladies have to book the jewel box?  I'm playing phone tag with a guy named tag and people are worrying me.  My wedding is the summer of june 2013 and people are saying I'm cutting it close :/
