ARUBA Honeymoon??

I'd like to hear from those of you who have honeymooned to Aruba with any info you might have about it. We are looking to stay at the Bucuti Resort. Thank you!

Re: ARUBA Honeymoon??

  • We're going to Bucuti in August! Neither of us has ever been to Aruba so we're super excited, but I've heard nothing but good things. When are you planning to go?

if you can afford it try to stay in the Tara Suites they are all ocean view and in their own separate building then the Bucuti wing.  They are more expensive maybe you can even just stay in a suite for the first part of your stay there.

  • Aruba is great!  The water is clear and calm (baby beach is great) and there is almost always a wonderful breeze.  There are some wonderful restaurants and some really nice spas.  The Radisson has a great spa or you can go to the spa at the Renaissance and choose to have a couple's massage in an outdoor setting at their island.  If your fiance wants to do something more active you can always go on an atv tour.
  • FI and I are are honeymooning here also-- we are staying at the Marriott beach resort in Sept and are really psyched!
  • i have been. wasn't my favorite island. it totally lacks any kind of personality. i was disappointed.

  • I agree with the pp.  I've been to Aruba too and wasn't impressed.  It's a long flight when you could go some place a lot closer with more personality.  It's definitely a lounge on the beach all day type of place to go.
  • I absolutely love Aruba and I'm actually going for vacation next week. I always stay at the Marriott and it's beautiful! Make sure to go to the Italian restaurant at the lighthouse during sunset, check out all the beach restaurants too. Also Madame Jeanette's.

    Have fun!
  • I have been to Aruba many times and I loved it, I disagree with it not having any personality. The weather is always great, the people on the island are always friendly and they have a neverending amount of things to do. It is great if you scuba dive, there are some great wrecks there.
  • I have been once and had the time of my life. Now I am planning on returning with my FI for our honeymoon (he has never been) in July. We are staying at Riu Palace. We both are super excited about it.

  • We have been three times -- including our honeymoon -- and stayed at Bucuti Resort in the Tara Beach Suites every time.  LOVED IT!
