     ooo can I rant on how I work for a top 100 ranked healthcare system and they have decided to not do a dang thing for nurses week?  So mad that they can't even say thanks or maybe a free lunch. But they did post a record profit last quarter- we got an email about that.   They decided this year to just celebrate employee appreciation, yet for national lab professionals week last month there was  breakfast provided for the lab and they all got corsages.

    Dear guests who told FMIL you are now coming to the wedding,

    Its great that you can make it... except I've given the final head count to the venue, completed the seating chart, and the chair cover vendor... which means you will be sitting at the over flow table with no chair covers, and you'll be the only ones there if no one else decides to unexpectedly show up.. and you also won't have cake pop favors because I already had to give them the final count as well! GRRR PEOPLE!

    Dear Self,

     

    Breathe.  Remember that whatever happens we are going to be married and that’s all that matters. 

     

    Stop worrying things will be forgotten, missed, or lost.  It doesn’t matter if the pink stripped straws you ordered are delivered in time.  It won’t matter if guests decided to sit in the wrong places (well, they’ll get the wrong food, but it won’t matter to me).  Don’t worry about your mother constantly reminding you that your step-dad is your real dad, not your biological father (who will also be at the wedding).  Stop worrying about drunk friend drama.  And most importantly, it is not your job to make sure everyone else is happy.

     

    This is your day.  Relax.
