DJ recommendations

I am debating between going with a DJ (If I can find one that is reasonable) or loading music on an Ipod.  Please keep in mind that I don't have any idea how to go about using an Ipod (I would have to go buy one).  Is the additional expense for a DJ worth it?  Or should I join the 21st century and buy the iPod and do it myself?  I would love to know how well either way worked for you.  Thanks

I would definitely recommend getting a DJ. We considered doing the iPod thing, but when we considered it more we decided that we needed the DJ. In my opinion a DJ does more than just play music, for us they set the mood, got people on their feet, etc.
Also remember that the DJ is going to do all the annoucements and let everybody know when stuff is happening - when food gets served, first dance, bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc. So for us having an experienced DJ who knew how a wedding should run, and announcing things along the way made a huge difference. So I strongly recommend going the DJ route.

That is just my opinion though.

Also, I used Jonny Black Productions, so if you decide to go that route he would be my recommendation because he was A-mazing.
And now we are as one

We had a dj and I would recommend it, we had Dj Sounds by Mario (832) 665-6049, he played exactly what we wanted, charged $75/hr
