AA Brides....Where are you??

I haven't seen many AA brides on this board but I figure its worth a try. I need a make up and hair stylist who works with AA brides in the Ft Lauderdale area....any recs?

Hey! I don't have a recommendation (sorry) but I'm an AA bride (from Atlanta as well) getting married in S. Fla.

Good luck finding someone. Have you tried Yelp or Kudzu for reviews? Could you get your hair done at home and then have someone in your wedding party or one of the guests who you trust to "touch it up" for you before the wedding?

Hey! Nice to meet you...you should come visit more often lol I want someone to come to me, the ladies I have had trials with just are blah so im still on the hunt for someone.

I would like someone local but if not I may have to have someone from Atlanta come down.

I found Yaneth Gray that a former knottie recommended but im waiting to hear back from her....so we shall see.

Where are you getting married?

*sigh* I have been looking for a venue passively for a few months now. We're having a small wedding (50-75 people) and I haven't found a venue that's in our budget AND fits our vision soooo still looking. How about you?! Are you getting nervous?

What is your vision? I checked out a ton of venues and might be able to help. Are you looking in PB County, Broward or Miami?

We are here! Welcome. I live in South Floirda and there is only one woman that I trust with my hair, her name is Michelle. She is located in the Hollywood area, but the great thing about South Florida is that every city/county is pretty much within 15-30 min of each other. I also have another woman that does great with weaves (if that is what you are looking for). I will send you a PM with both ladies' info. Good luck.

Hey Girls!!

I'm an AA bride getting married in July in Ft. Lauderale. I set a trial appointment with Yaneth Grey and she did an amazing job on my cousin's makeup for her wedding a couple years ago. So we shall see how this trial goes

As fair as hair....I might have Yaneth style that as well but as far as adding my extensions, I'm going to have a family member do that. I'm a college student so I have to keep it affordable and cute.

Yaneth Gray is my MAU. I had a trial with her and her work is amazing! She's so sweet too!

I live in Atlanta also and am getting married in S.Fla. I am flying my hairstylist down and using LaLa from www.Thefashionistis.com as my MUA. Her work is amazing!
