June 2012 Weddings

DIY weekend (PIP)

I spent this weekend completing some wedding DIY.... I was finally able to make these checks.  Please let me know what you think!

First and foremost my completely handmade pocket invitations.  Each cherry blossom on the bellyband is hand colored.

Thank you cards that go along with our invitations

Favors for our guests.  The boxes will either have a peanut butter cup (Fi's favorite) or a York peppermint patty in it.

This is how they will be set up at each place setting.

Bridal party hangers!

for the kids!!!  Each one says Kelsey & Andrew on one side and alternate between June 23, 2012, just married, and celebrate

  • Oh wow!!  That's awesome! I am a stamper myself, so I know how much work that is!  I was thinking about making my own invitations, but I was able to find them online way cheaper!

But yours are gorgeous!!  And I love your favors for the kids!!

  • Wow, the invites look fabulous!
  • Thank you everyone.  I was worried that my wedding was going to start looking ghetto with all my little projects.  Food and venue is more important to us and is where we spent most of our budget so I figured I'd try to save some $ and fulfill my vision!

Handcoloring the cherry blossoms took place over several days.  There were 100 of them and I blended the pink to make it lighter.  It was definately a process but glad they are done.

Elizabeth - the funny thing is FI told me I should start an etsy shop.  Needless to say, this is the 1st time I have ever crafted to this capacity and don't know if I'm going to look at another craft project for months after the wedding.

Bonnie - I actually stuck those puppies in the printer and let it do all the work.  So easy and looks pretty.   I have decent handwriting but wasn't going to attempt it.
