Water Only Challenge

So I mentioned earlier today that I was on the lose it app. I just found out that the app allows you to do challenges to keep you motivated. I have signed up to do a water only challenge during the entire month of January. I thought it might be nice to track my progress on here as well. If anyone wants to do it with me that would be great too! :)

Re: Water Only Challenge

  • Ummm - I can't find anything on this challenge, but is it possible that it's a eat-regularly-but-only-drink-water-thing? As in no coffee, tea, soft drinks, juice etc???

If that's the case, it would be a good challenge. If you're right Xcal, it's terrible and dangerous.

  • Oh come on, OP is clearly talking about cutting out all liquids other than water (i.e. soda, juice), NOT only drinking water (and not eating) during January.  Be reasonable and apply some logical thinking here.

OP, drinking water is a great way to get on track, and lose weight if you're drinking a lot of calories.  I drink a lot of seltzer water since I crave the carbination of a soda but don't want the calories or artificial sweeteners.
All I can say is why the f*** would you want to do that??????? Your body needs calories to function. You need to have calories to breathe, pump blood, walk, talk, think, everything! Your body needs a certain amount just to live. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do this!! You'll be killing yourself.

I think you need to do some yoga or something.

  • Sounds like a great challenge OP - but not one I'd be willing to do anytime in the near future. Goodluck with it!

This!!! I love food way to much to not eat for a month. I'm not crazy! ; as far as liquids go, only water.

  • Just make sure you are getting calcium somewhere if you don't plan to drink any milk at all! But that's a good idea- I should do that too- get away from the sugar and calories in juice, alcohol and soda!

  • haha i thought the first response was kind of funny. I've had total comprehension fails before too. It's the hloliday brain.

  • Caffeine doesn't stall weight loss or cause weight gain - provided you're not dumping half a cup of sugar and cream each into a cuppa! If you're a big juice and soda drinker, eliminating them would be a good challenge but there's no need to eliminate coffee and tea if you don't want to.

Sorry about my first post. Posted by xcalygrl
No worries! I could have been much more clear with my post. I was just so excited about doing this challenge! :
