Portraits by the Bay

Anyone used Portraits by the Bay for their wedding photographers? My FI and I met them at a bridal show this past weekend and really liked them. Would love to hear others experience using them and if they were pleased with the final outcome of using them.

Checked out their website.

- Noticed most of the images seem to be posed
- Although the image are technically very good, they appear to lack a sense of style

These first things may not matter, YOU have to like what you are getting, not me.

I sense you really don't get anything for the 2100 bucks in addition to the photography on the day of. Digital files, prints, or albums are probably extra.

Going by their Beach portrait rates, it appears they are very expensive. $180 dollars for an 8x10?

My advice, review their price list in detail and compare what you are getting with other photographers.

I also don't like how they advertise help with invitations, DJ,etc on the site, they prob have partners they use and get kickbacks. If they don't push this on you, however, then that is fine. I am just weary of it.

I used Jason for my wedding photographer and it was one of the best decisions about my wedding that I made! It has been 6 months since my wedding and it is true that the pictures taken on that day are the main thing you walk away with to remind you of your day. The day moved so fast and had so many elements I don't know if I would be remembering all of them without the help of Jason and his photos. He prides himself on his pictures telling the story of your wedding day and that is exactly what I got. I never seemed to notice him anywhere but looking at the pictures he was EVERYWHERE. He really captured what made my day special to me and my family. Yes we did have to pose the standard family photos before the ceremony but he took all the best pictures afterwards when my husband and I didn't even know he was there. You want a photographer that gets you to your own wedding quickly and Jason did exactly that. After the wedding he made the most beautiful albums and videos for us. I could never say enough wonderful things about Jason and Portraits by the Bay! You would be missing out if you skipped over this photographer!
