Dress for FMIL

For those of you whose FMIL have bought a dress/looked for a dress, where have you had success?  I feel like FMIL and I have exhausted all options at this point, but I know this is not actually the case.  We were at Valley West around December and looked, and looked at the dress shop I bought my dress at this last weekend.  Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  This is one wedding to-do that may cause me to pull my hair out!.  I should probably mention she is looking for something that is long and has a jacket with it.  The real hang up we are having at this point is that she is convinced she wants a copper dress.  Let me tell you, this is not a color you see a lot of.  TYIA

I am not sure if she is willing to try to order something online, but my mother found her dress on this website and they have a section that is for "Mothers" as it says.

I'm sure you have tried Dillars, and Dress Barn? Also at Weddings by Design they had some cute BM's dresses that sounds a little like what she is looking for. They were Alfred Angelo, so maybe check out his website?

What about Dillards at Jordan Creek?

Or, have you tried Stacey's Bridal in Urbandale?  That's where my mom found her dress :-)

My FMIL got her dress from Davids bridal..that trip was well..difficult. FMIL can be difficult but we found one that she likes a lot. Have you tried a Yonkers or JCpenny?

Neither my mom or my FMIL is going to wear a traditional "mother of the bride" dress. They're not fond of them, and I'd rather see my mom in something she could wear again and feel more comfortable in. I think my mom may just wear a fancier suit. We haven't gone shopping yet but I'm expecting it to be .. interesting. Probably go to Nordstrom in KC or Talbots has a lot of cute stuff, esp. online.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I told her she should go check out stacey's.  I dont think she has been to Dillards or Younkers in a while, so I might tell her she should check back there.  I was at Penny's last week and didn't really see anything that I thought she would like.
Thanks again everyone!  I will keep you posted on what she comes up with.
