Anyone wearing a short or non-traditional dress??

I'm thinking about wearing a knee length dress and was wondering if anyone else was going non-traditional?

Re: Anyone wearing a short or non-traditional dress??

• ME! I haven't bought one yet, but I am thinking kneelength too! 50s vintage probably. A recent bride on this board wore this GORGEOUS dress...I am trying to find something like hers. And it'll be so nice to not have to worry about getting the dress all dirty from dragging it over the strip. Have you got examples of what you are looking at?

• I just posted on my month board, I'm torn between 2 dresses. Think I'm going with this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/83119804/1950s-style-custom-made-wing-bust-style?
• I did tea length... bought it off etsy. :D
• me! doing tea length with a coloured crinolin underneath.

I think the that Sarah is talking about is AJ's - from Dolly Couture- it is GORGEOUS!!!!! if i didn't already have mine after seeing her's i would get it lol Dolly has lots of really nice retro tea length and less traditional ones

Pnutbutr - LOVE that dress and love the price! lol

I love your dress, it inspired me to do tea-length :)
So I'm guessing you had a good experience with your seller on Etsy? I'm kind of nervous, which is why I haven't ordered yet.
• Awww thanks toronto and Sarah:) I loved my dress. I am so happy I went short

• I wore a long gown for ceremony and then changed into a tea length dress for our photo tour.
• I'm going to wear traditional dress for the ceremony and reception : http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Sweetheart-Beaded-Lace-Trumpet-Gown-CRL277_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Designer-Oleg-Cassini

But for the after party I'm wearing this one: http://www.bebe.com/bebe-Isis-Sequin-Feather-Dress/dp/B0058TBOQW

I love non-traditional dresses, especially for Vegas!!
• so jealous of you ladies lol but all of them are gorgeous
• I love the short/tea length dresses... I have leg issues as well, I don't think I look nice in shorter things, I was originally wanting an asymmetrical hemline, but I am not sure I can pull it off. I think floor length would be best or just a tad shorter!

• me to plus im 4 10 so if i wear tea length it cuts me off and doesnt look right
• I'm not doing short, but my dress is blue. If you can't do non-traditional in Vegas, I don't know where you could!

Aww shucks. I think my fave dress has been amber's... so cute! And her brooch bouquet was to die for, too!

I had a great experiece with my seller: ting bridal. The material, sewing, etc. were all top notch and I think her dresses are very reasonably priced for what you get. Also because the dress was made to my exact measurements I didn't need to get alterations done after the fact.

I was really nervous, too, but I'm so glad I did it! The bridal salons in Japan are like $3,000+ for rentals alone and most of the dresses look like froofy prom things so I was going to have to buy somewhere online anyways.
• Thanks mitzu! I wore the dress in my sig for pictures, ceremony, and reception. Then changed into a knee length dress for walking the strip and drinking.... pica are in my bio. I couldn't imagine myself in a long dress and the thought of it getting dirty bothered me.

• I'm doing a tea length 50s vintage dress from Blue Velvet Vintage with a black crinoline. I am not in the least bit traditional about anything going on in my wedding and I have a Vintage Vegas theme for this extravaganza. I've checked out Dolly Couture too but they were a little out of my price range as i'm not wanting to spend a whole lot for a dress.
