I noticed you posted on a thread. Did you get everything worked out with your FI? DId you get his military stuff figured out?

Yes. To understand what is going on, I need to tell about one of my students. I'll call him Bob. Bob is not able to know the difference between fantasy and reality. Because of that, Bob has a tendency of making things up for attention. As his student teacher,I had to learn about how his brain works and ways to know when it is his disability talking or him.

Anyways, now on to FI. When he was injured last year, it messed some things up, similar to what my student Bob has. So, he left in June, and the Army noticed things werern't right. He was sent home with a medical discharge. I've seen all the paper work and talked to the doctors. The Break from TK was good, because able to step back and look at everything the way I have for some of my students. I'm not angry he lied to me, knowing that he couldn't control it. I'm upset I wasn't told, but that goes into the fact that his family knew all the medical stuff and doesn't like me, ..well, we all know about how future in-laws can try to break people up.

Anyways,I just feel, well...very stupid for missing everything.

Are you sure he was truly medically discharged? Right now that's a year long process at least. Did you update the MB Board? I know they were concerned

Yeah the military is cracking down on that stuff and with the troops out of Iraq they're cutting more people voluntary and involuntary. Be prepared for it to take at least a year. FI's packet was started end of November or so and it still hasn't been started. It's very up in the air. They can get a medical separation or retirement but assuming he served overseas and whanot he'll have lifelong treatment available through the VA

Yes! I will be posting more soon. I'm going away this weekend to get things all sorted for his health and visit my mom. When I get back, I'll update the MB board
