Not so bad in my area but cant say the same for the coast and NYC.

    Same here. We are fortunate that the storm turned when / where it did, but it breaks my heart to see the devastation else where. That could have been us. 

    My step-mom had to evacuate - she's right on the coast, I'm inland - and she said it might be another day or two before the tide recedes enough to get to her house.

    glad you guys are ok! Here in Cleveland, tons of people lost power, but we're good so far! (and the wind an rain have somewhat died down now.)

    Good here in NJ! I'm one of the lucky ones that still have power and no damage. The shore didn't fair quite so well. I saw images of a roller coaster in Seaside that was washed into the ocean...and in Ocean City where I vacation, the shore and the bay met each other.

    We did quite well in the storm. Some friends had leaking windows, flooding, etc, but I haven't heard of anything too catastrophic around here.
