Rustic Barn in Cincinnati/ Nouthern Kentucky???

Please help! I have been searching non stop for what I want. I know it is out there. I just cannot find it!
What I want: I want a rustic, barn wedding. Mason jars and home cooked country food and bluegrass music. Ceremony outside under a tree. Reception in the barn.
No mandatory catering or stupid wedding packages. I seriously want a barn (Party ready) and a tree. Country side and no sound of traffic.
Budget: $5,000.
I have also looked at barns further out in Kentucky, Lodges here in Cincinnati, a few rustic downtown buildings and a few Vinyards.
But, either they don't allow you to use your own catering or have some crazy wedding package.
I have checked out:
-Niederman Family Farm (No outdoor tree, improper kitched facility, confusing for guests to find, owner lives right on property. He is awesome but it is still awkard.)
-Mulhauser Barn- No outside area and has this weird church feel. You can see the highway. Just strange.
-Polen Farm- Too expensive and I believe you had to use their catering.
-Parky's Barn- You have to use their catering.
-Lakeside Lodge- Lodge is too small but love it. And they allow your own catering.
-Pattison Lodge- You can hear traffic and I loathe gazebos. I love love love the inside of lodge but the outside is ...no.
Krippendorf Lodge- Wayyyy too expensive. You have to use their ridiculous catering.
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park Pyramid Lodge- Beautiful! But too confusing to find and slightly expensive.
-The Centennial Barn- No.
Falon Vinyard- The reviews says it all.
-Vinkolet Vinyards- Wayyyy too expensive.
And about twenty other places.

If anyone knows of a barn, on country side, don't forget the tree, somewhere in Cincinnati or Nourthrn Kentucky area, that allows any catering, please let me know. Prices and info are greatly appreciated.
Thank you soooo much, in advance!!!

Benham's Grove in Centerville. Not sure how it looks budget-wise, but I don't think you have to use their caterers.

Walhill Farm is in Batesville, Indiana.  A little bit out of the Cincinnati area but it looks like you have exhausted most of the options in the area.  you don't have to use a specific caterer but not sure about the tree requirement.

Heartland 1913 barn in West Harrison, Ohio.  Many years ago I was there for a square dance and they were affiliated with Stone's Cloggers at that time.  Good luck!

You can try Farm Haven in Union Ky. My son is having his reception there. It has a barn. They rent the space and you  bring in everthing else.

  • What venue did you choose?
  • No way...I'm having the exact same problem. Does nobody really have a good barn or tree? It is driving me crazy. There is one I liked and it's called rivercrest farm. The one I really liked was Canyon Run Ranch. Good luck in your search!
  • these are Dayton area, but they are options for anyone who is looking!

    Providence Homestead

    Canopy Creek Farm
  • Would love to know what location you selected or has anyone had a barn wedding lately and suggest a barn?
  • I know this is a few years late, but for anyone still searching...

We are going with Walhill Farm for our wedding in October. We LOVE the barn. The ceremony is lakeside (optional) but there isn't the tree you are looking for. There are other areas of the farm you may be able to use. They own a ton of acreage. We live in Cleves and from our driveway to theirs is only 37 minutes. There is also budget friendly hotels near.
