picked up a gift from the store, but no name was on it!

My fiance and I got a call on Friday that there was a registry gift for us to pick up at the store (guests can order online and have it shipped to our store).  We opened it to find there was no name, just a typed letter with a little message.  I called the store and they gave me the name of the mystery gift giver...one of my best friends/BMs!  Now I'm not sure if I should give a thank you note or note.  I don't know if she wanted to remain annonymous or just forgot to enter her name.  Thoughts?

    I would send a thank you note now...she has to know you'll figure out who sent you the gift and this way she knows you received it

    You would think so, but one time while we were dating, H (boyfriend at the time) sent me flowers with a cute little love note but no name. Of course I figured out that they were from him, but it just goes to show that when ordering online sometimes people forget to sign their names!

    I think sometimes people think it will just show up since you have to enter it online with your credit card and all that.
