Hello All!

I am new to the board. My fiance and I got engaged the week before Christmas. Now that the holidays are over and we are done traveling, we are now starting to plan a October 2012 wedding (eek)! Colors are Navy, Fuchsia, with hints of Silver.

We are wanting to host a Downtown Detroit wedding and have found a perfect church, now just looking for a perfect reception venue that fits our budget. If anyone has hosted or planned any event in that area (even Midtown), please share. I have checked the post but if anyone has any updates it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a sticky (thumbtack next to the thread) at the top that has a list of venues others here have used. Without knowing your budget or what exactly you are looking for we can't really help much.

Sorry here is a little more information. We are looking at a list of 250 guest and trying to stick around $35 per person. We do not mind dressing up the venue and adding our touch if it is plain and empty.
