Okay, I was a little on the fence about posting this, but Elle told me to go for it, so here you are...
For any of you gals who are wanting things in the O department to get better, I would like to recommend the disposable little fun things in the condom aisle at your local drugstore. I got a Durex vibrator for about $7. It's worked for quite a long time. The particular one I have has a jelly-like loop that goes around the base of your partner's penis, and it's awesome, but I think it would be just as much fun solo. They also make fingertip ones with tiny vibrators inside. These are supposed to be thrown away after one use, but I don't see why you'd have to, as long as you clean 'em properly.
I think one of the wise NEY ladies mentioned it's good to teach yourself what works for you and what you like, then teach your SO. I totally agree. Find solo time and just explore. Don't worry about getting there or not. Wear your favorite lingerie, make it dark in the room. Whatever relaxes you and makes you feel sexy. Also, if you don't know this, for a lot of women, it works best to stay away from--or at least be really gentle with--the clit, at least for awhile in the beginning.
Do it! For serious.
Hope nobody minds me getting all Dr. Ruth up in here. It just made me a little sad that some of the NEYers aren't, well, satisfied. All of us (who want to) should have the privilege of sheet-gripping O's on a regular basis!

ETA: Lube. For realz. Unscented--it can make you itchy with perfumey stuff in it.

[QUOTE]*like* I'd also like to add...I'm not a huge vibrator fan, but I AM a big fan of solo time and am convinced it makes my sex life better. Knowing I can O on my own any ol' time makes sexy time with my husband more about the emotional connection and not simply satisfying a physical need. And I find that without that pressure of wanting the O so bad, the O is actually easier to achieve. So, if that kind of device doesn't float your boat, no worries. Keep trying til you find what works for you. :)

This makes so much sense. I almost never have solo time anymore, since sexytime with BF is pretty darned satisfying, but there are definitely times when I don't get there. Maybe I should take my own advice and get out the little Durex on my own sometime soon!

Yes! That thing is AMAZING!!! Especially with girl on top. Gets it done every time!
I have bought vibrators for nearly all my friends for one occasion or another. I am a huge advocate of finding your own sexytime.
