vintage engagement ring settings

Hi ladies (and guys),
we are beginning the process of ring shopping (yes I'm early on theknot.com). I think we are going to buy a loose diamond and have it set. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions on retailers that specialize in vintage ring settings. All the vintage settings we have seen online either haven't caught my fancy or seem to have a round diamond in the setting. I want to have a princess cut as far as possible. Please advice.

Thanks in advance

I don't have a vintage setting, but my ring was from Smyth and they just have a HUGE selection of everything. You may want to check there.

</div><div>I agree! Fiance picked out a loose diamond and setting from smyths. They have an excellent selection and have been very helpful :)

If you're willing to consider actual vintage, Bijoux at Greenspring Station is fantastic.  That's where I got my ring.  They have a variety of styles and prices, and the owners are some of the nicest I've ever met.  They really made the whole experience special.
