Vampire/enchanted forest theme?

Ok so I am having major trouble trying to pick a theme for our wedding. I know this is gonna sound super cheesy but I really want a vampire them. No fangs or blood but black rich fabric with dark red roses. Candles and candelabras. But now I'm wondering If I should add in a forest element as well? Maybe some moss, or trees? Like enchanted forest... What do y'all think???

I think you should pick one or the other.  But that's just my opinion.

My opinion is that weddings shouldn't have themes, they should be wedding themed.  You could use a 'darker/ enchanted' color scheme and that sounds lovely.  Or pick a patterened fabric (like a velvet damask) and base your colors on that, carry the pattern throughout the wedding decor.  Anything beyond that and I think you run the risk of getting a little tacky.  You don't want it looking like a haunted house.

When it comes to themes for weddings, I really suggest keeping it subtle. You want it classy. And not looking like a Sweet 16, ya know?<div>

I personally think you could really do both. Twilight comes to mind when I hear your ideas.... Think really formal elegant dinner party out in the woods. Long dinner tables not round ones....it needs to have that family meal feeling. I'm thinking really rich colors ( deep reds, purples, and metallics) for table linens and flowers. Possibly black wine glasses and flatware. Tall candleabras with black magic roses scattered at the bases for centerpieces. Chandeliers hanging from the trees. Wine bottles scattered through the center of the tables. Any whites used to need to be crips bright whites. Deep redish purple calalilies would be perfect for bouquets. I don't think you really need any ceremony decorations, no alter or aisle decorations, just use the forest as the backdrop.....it makes it more romantic fairytalelike. And lots of candles everywhere.

Sorry I kinda got away with ideas...lol It just seemed like a fun wedding to plan.

We're kind of in a quandry similar to yours. I want a goth/romantic vampire ball type event, but our venue lends itself so well to a rich, lush, Victorian theme.

I don't think your two themes would work well if you tried to mesh them together.

Take a look at your venue and see what would go better. Then weigh in your head which decor you would like better; the lush dark vampiric decor, or the mossy, kind of over-grown, natural colors that an enchanted forest theme would call for. Think about your budget and which one would eat up less decor money (unless that's not an issue.) Think about the bouquet you would want to carry and the dress you have in mind. A flowy faerie type dress wouldn't go with vampire, and a corseted velvet gown wouldn't go with enchanted forest.

Either decor would benefot from tons of candles. That would look amazing with either that you choose. And just because it's Vampire doesn't mean it all has to be black. Reds, purples, dark greens, and even rich ivories work well for a more gothy look. Enchanted forest makes me think of rich browns, greens, and mixed colors for florals with lots of greenery.

Okay, I'm rambling. Hope this helps some and doesn't confuse you more!!! :)

Ummm.... unless you want people to think of teenage girls going apesh!t for Robert Pattinson, I wouldn't do this.  It's all very Twilight and tweenie.  Make a choice.
