This is going to sound so bad but right now I can't remember.  I do know he gave me a dozen red roses and I'm sure we went out to eat but I just can't recall where to.  It was probably Chili's or Ruby Tuesday's.

We have spent 13 Valentine's together including today.  Our routine has changed.  No gifts, just cards and we stay in, order takeout and watch a movie. *sigh*  I can't wait for tonight.

I thought I'd be the only one to forget.  Ha ha. We've been together for 5 years. Usually we go out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, but this year, I'm cooking dinner. (not sure why I agreed to do this since I cook every night).

But tonight, I'm cooking a filet mignon roast, spinach salad and I'm making wine cake cupcakes with homemade frosting.

I actually do remember our 1st valentines day - I was serenaded at my house by a few of his fraternity pledges.  It was the sweetest thing ever.  That was 17 years ago!!!

FI planned a weekend trip to San Diego and he wouldn't tell me where we were going. I was still living with my parents and my mom wanted to know where he was taking me because we were very early into our relationship and she didn't want me to end up missing. LOL We got there Saturday afternoon went to Sea World and then FI had set up to have dinner at the Zoo that night.

I also don't remember, it's been soooo long! I know I got a card and a plush and that's because I still have it...but I don't remember what we did.

I had class, so I didn't get home until 10:30! It was in 2007. I had gotten a little white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory, though, and was had some of that while sitting in bed.

We usually go out, now, but we went to Vegas this weekend and we're going to an event tomorrow, so I'm making eggplant parmesan and we're having the last of our wedding cake.

Our first Valentine's was 7 years ago, and probably the best, probably because FI was still trying to win me over.  He bought me a dozen long stem roses and we got all dressed up and went to some fancy Greek restaurant.  I remember he picked me up at my parents' house and my dad took pics of us cause we looked nice.  Cute memories....FI was traveling for work last year and now this year on V-Day. We will celebrate when he gets back.  We usually go to dinner and I always buy some special lingerie, he really loves that.  Aww, but tonight will be a little sad.

Our first Valentine's Day was February 14, 2000. I remember our first one...but ask meany of the others besides our first one and the Valentine's Day that he proposed, I really dont remember...LoL...

Anyway, him and his brother picked me up from my grandmas house (he wasn't driving yet). His brother was like our taxi driver...lol

He took us to go out to eat and then he took us to the beach. We talked for a little while and expressed how we felt for one another. I remember us kissing and holding each other  on the stairwell...it was super sweet and romantic...

our first valentines day.... is today. FI is still in afghanistan, but he sent me a bonsai tree :). so stoked to watch it grow and blossom.

i sent him a package, with lots of typical care package stuff. i found a cute vday card, that i wrote in during a yoga teacher training intensive i was in last month. i was speaking to him on the phone, and i was walking around the neighborhood during our convo. i was picking flowers along the way, and when i got back to the temple i was studying at, i had a colorful little bouquet. after i hung up the phone with him, i decided to send him all of the different flowers in his card... and he loved it :).

For our first Valentine's Day, we weren't together yet. It was sophomore year in high school- he had a crush on me, I was not yet totally interested. He brought a bouquet of roses to school and was too nervous to give it to me. So he carried it around all day. I knew what it was (he was terrible at hiding them) and was just wondering what his deal was- why hadn't he just given them to me?? The whole day went by, and he finally did give them to me after school! Super awkward.

The next year we were dating, and he asked me to Junior Prom by writing on the back of coversation hearts- one letter on each heart, saying "Will you go to prom with me?". He put them all back in the box and just gave it to me to figure out. It was sweet!

This is our 10th valentine's day, and we didn't do much! Bought each other candy while at Trader Joe's on Sunday- gummy hearts for him, a box of chocolate for me. But we picked out our own and put both in the cart with all our other groceries. We made pasta together tonight and ate carrot cake. Just my kind of night!
