The weekend just flew by. We may have been a bit ambitious with everything we did but it all went so well. We couldn't have asked for more. We had loads of compliments on how well things went and how stress free we seemed. I planned a number of surprises for my groom including a wedding day survival kit, a book with memories and photos of our time together, and my BM delivered messages to him as they walked down the aisle. The one surprise of the day was my crying as I walked down the aisle - I ddin't see that coming and that unfortunately caused many others to cry.
My advice to all of you is to get everything done as soon as possible. We had no last minute errands to run and could enjoy the week with our family and friends. Remember that things will go wrong but they should not ruin your day. There were a few mishaps during the day but we took it in stride and nobody else was aware of anything being amiss.
We planned a number of events for our guests from a welcome pizza party for family, to spa treatments for all the women in the family, and a BBQ the day after the wedding. We did many things to include our family and friends in the weekend and not make everything just about us.
